Jen Nichols, Founder

Jen has worked with youth in community-based clinics in New York City and has designed and implemented health education initiatives for marginalized adults and teenagers in the U.S. and overseas. This work included developing AIDS education materials for inmates in California prisons, designing birth control programs in Nepal and Barbados, providing counseling at Planned Parenthood clinics and developing curricula for AIDS Project LA. In 2014, Jen became the Volunteer and Community Outreach Program Manager at Bridge the Gap College Prep in Marin City, a nonprofit organization that provides tutoring and mentoring to support students through high school and college. She holds a BA from Colgate and a MPH from Columbia University.

Whitney Hoyt, Education Director

Whitney has dedicated her career to creating access and opportunity in education for young people. Whitney served as Assistant Principal at San Rafael High School, Assistant Principal at White Hill Middle School, Principal at Mill Valley Middle, and Co-Principal at Tamalpais High School. As Educational Director at Bridge the Gap College Prep, Whitney supported students living in public housing in getting to, and through college. Throughout her career, Whitney’s focus has been on the design and execution of educational programming that “make the school work for the kid." Whitney holds a BA from San Francisco State University and a MS from Sacramento State University.
