Welcome to Powerful Beyond Measure! Powerful Beyond Measure is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of abusive childhoods, rape and domestic violence as they build new and healthy lives. These abuses leave the survivor feeling powerless and hopeless and those feelings affect every part of her/his adult life. Empowerment returns the survivor to her/his natural state of self-worth, self-esteem and the knowledge that by her very birthright she is powerful beyond measure.
We provide empowerment through:
- Facts to help survivors assert themselves and to realize they aren't crazy or alone
- Resources to aid in the healing process
- The National Predator Database where each survivor can post their story to help protect others
- Publications about self-worth, healing and empowerment
- Questionnaire where survivors' answers will help professionals assist survivors and help other survivors realize their worth.
Empowerment restores a survivor's sense of self-worth. Self-worth is the very foundation of building a new life. Until you no longer doubt your worthiness, you will struggle with on again-off again success of any program. Most survivors have an underlying sense that they are somehow flawed, damaged or less than everyone else. We need to eradicate that fear, thought and belief and replace it with the knowledge that you are worthy - by your very birthright you are worthy. Powerful Beyond Measure was created to support and encourage survivors as we learn to be honest with ourselves, trust ourselves and best of all: feel empowered in our lives.
In the future, we hope to add empowerment training programs, empowerment books for children and adults, an empowerment magazine, and an action network of survivors who lobby for stricter laws and more public awareness of these crimes and the issues surrounding them.
